The research does not back that up. It backs up something more useful for anyone juggling a job, a family, and a finite amount of energy: showing up consistently for short workouts produces better long-term results than showing up occasionally for long ones.

That is a real, physiological bonus, not a mechanism that lets a short workout quietly outburn a long one.
